Management Team

Mats Nordahl, CEO and Co-founder

Mats Nordahl is Tangiamo’s Chief Executive Officer with responsibility for the company’s strategy and day-to-day operations. Prior to Tangiamo, he co-founded a spin-off company in 1999 from Chalmers University of Technology called TiFiC AB, a provider of automated customer support solutions with over 70 million users worldwide, and served on the company’s Board of Directors. He was also a faculty member at Chalmers from 1993 until 2007 with a research focus in the fields of digital media, complex systems and artificial intelligence. In 1994, he was appointed to the External Faculty of the Santa Fe Institute based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He received an MSc from the California Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Chalmers University of Technology.


Jimmy Eiterjord, CTO

Jimmy Eiterjord is Tangiamo’s Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for the research and development of Tangiamo’s current and future product portfolio. In addition, he oversees the mechanical design, electronics, programming, and production setup of all Tangiamo products. Jimmy has been with the company since the early R&D phase at Chalmers back in 2001.

He holds an MSc in Computer Science and Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology. Following his Master’s degree, Jimmy continued his research at Chalmers working on large, interactive display systems in addition to supervising Master’s students in the Art and Technology and Intelligent Systems Design programs.


Andre Hesselink, CFO and VP Business Development

Andre Hesselink is Tangiamo's Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Business Development responsible for the financial management of the company as well as several business development activities. He joins Tangiamo after 5 years at Sony Ericsson where he was responsible for the commercial development and expansion of the company’s online store for mobile games, applications and music. Prior to Sony Ericsson, Andre worked as a Senior Strategy Analyst for Gateway, Inc., the second largest PC manufacturer in the US at the time, where he helped set up the company’s corporate venture capital unit. From 2000 to 2002, Andre was Senior Finance Manager at Mi8 Corporation, a technology startup focusing on hosted Microsoft Exchange and BlackBerry services. While at Mi8 he helped turn the company to profitability, leading to its eventual merger into Norwegian technology company, Apptix ASA (OSE: APP).

Andre began his career as an Associate Consultant in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Financial Advisory Services group based in New York City. He holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Princeton University. Andre is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.


Board of Directors

Jan Bengtsson, Chairman

Jan Bengtsson is Chairman of the Board for Tangiamo AB. He is also the Chief Executive Officer for the Rasta Group AB, a publicly traded company (First North STO: RAST) with businesses in the service, restaurant and hotel sectors. Prior to working for Rasta, Jan held various senior management positions at Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB) and was the financial director for Provobis Holding AB, an investment company focusing on the entertainment industry. Jan has also served as CEO for a number of companies including Fastighets AB Coronado, Göteborgs Auktionsverk AB, and Pantbelåning i Göteborg.

Jan received his degree in business administration from the School of Business, Economics and Law at Gothenburg University. He has also served on the boards of the Rasta Group, Alert Investor Relations AB, and as Chairman of the Frölunda Indians, a professional Swedish hockey team.


Staffan Hillberg, Director

Staffan Hillberg has enjoyed a successful career as an investor and entrepreneur. He started his first company in 1985 while studying at Chalmers University of Technology. Thereafter, Staffan started several new companies until completing his MBA in 1992 at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. Following INSEAD, he worked as a Multimedia Evangelist for Apple Computer Europe in Paris, and eventually moved to their Silicon Valley headquarters to become Product Manager for Apple’s QuickTime software. In 1996, Staffan joined the Bonnier AB, one of the largest media conglomerates in Scandinavia, where he became CEO for the company’s online division, Bonnier Online. After Bonnier, Staffan founded data security company Appgate and established its international presence with offices in Sweden, the UK and US. In 2000, he started up CR&T Ventures and invested more than 10 million euros in technology startups. Since then Staffan has remained active as a venture capitalist and angel investor, and has had successful exits with companies such as Mirror Image, Digital Illusion and Spotfire. He is a Founding Partner at Wood & Hill Investment AB, and is currently CEO of Heliospectra AB.


Michael Knutsson, Director

Michael Knutsson is the CEO of Knutsson Holdings AB, which is wholly owned by the Knutsson family and has both controlling and minority interests in a wide variety of companies. The company’s main focus is on the entertainment sector, both as operator and a supplier of gaming equipment. In addition to gaming, the Knutsson group of companies has interests in Restaurants, Health Care, IT, tire recycling and trotting horses.

Michael has a degree in business management from the School of Business, Economics and Law at Gothenburg University.


Johan Andersson, Director

Johan Andersson joined Tangiamo’s Board in 2006. He is currently Managing Director of Smart Eyes International AB, a rapidly growing retail chain for prescription eyeglasses and contact lenses. Prior to Smarteyes, Johan worked as a private equity fund advisor with EQT Partners AB, which is one of the largest private equity funds in Scandinavia with €13 billion under management. Prior to EQT, he worked within the Mergers and Acquisitions department at Lehman Brothers in London.

Johan holds an MBA from INSEAD, and an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering / Applied Mathematics from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden.
