About the company
Tangiamo AB (org nr. 556655-3839) designs, develops and manufactures multi-player gaming systems for casinos and electronic arcades. The company is based in the city of Gothenburg on the West coast of Sweden, and sells its products in over 25 countries worldwide through its distribution partner TCS John Huxley (www.tcsjohnhuxley.com).
The company was founded in 2004 as a spin-off from Chalmers University of Technology under the name TouchTable AB and launched its first product in 2005, TouchTable RealRoulette, a multi-player roulette system with 4 player positions well suited for bars, lounges and restaurants. The initial idea was to create a social gaming environment where several people interact on the same playing surface – a philosophy that remains at the core of the company’s ongoing product development.
In April 2010, the company changed its name to Tangiamo, which is the first-person, plural tense of the Italian verb “tangere” meaning “we touch”. The name Tangiamo embodies the company’s ambition to create innovative technologies that transform the computer into a platform for entertainment, social interaction and collaboration – for the gaming industry and future application areas.
